Hello,
Last week I bought a wonderful
orange 20ldk on a flea market for 50 euro. The lady told it was in good working order....
At home it did not power on
Upon inspection it turned out 3 wires were cut on the transformer. After connecting those it still did not work. Grrrrr bit disappointed.
I would love to fix it myself. I would suspect that the transformer is broken.
Any suggestions how to proceed?
Any ebay links to a cheap replacement transformer??
Greetings from the netherlands,
Bas

Check the voltages on the output side of the transformer to see is it's bad.

Do you have a multimeter?
Did you check the fuses 1st?
Did you check The transformer is actually getting 230v to start with?

Thanks for the reply.
Yes did check the one fuse in the black plastic part. That was good. The transformer is getting 230v.
Cannot understand why the 3 top wires were cut in thd first place.
Hope to get this solved.
Greetings Bas

Next thing, did you check the wires you reconnected have continuity?
Also, what's the blob between the black and blue wires on the output side?
It may well be the transformer, but it would be great to be 100% sure.
Otherwise, the transformer specs are listed on the top. You need 2 * 18v ac 9n the output side, one at 2a, one at 1a if i interpret the sticker correctly.
