printed circuit boards and orange

can anyone tell me if the new oranges have printed circuit boards, or are they hand wired? just curious.

To prevent the next question (" And what about the old amp?")

Orange amps are PCB amps, but they are the good kind of PCB amps.
This means that they mount the tubes on the chassis on not on the PCB. (That would be bad because shaking tubes can strain a pcb 'till something goes wrong.)

Exceptions:
1. the new custom shop amps are handwired (PTP or point-to-point)
2. Maybe some very old Matamp Orange amps (before 1970 or so)might have been PTP
3. there were some amps in the early '70's that had the preamp tubes mounted on the PCB.

This should be close, I think.

Don't confuse "hand wired" with "point to point wired".
An amp *can* be a printed circuit board amp & be hand wired.
An amp that's point to point *is* hand wired.

Custom Shop Orange amps are point to point wired, which is
hand wired.
All others are printed circuit board. Are they hand wired printed circuit board amps? Hmmmm????
