I was in Key West a year ago and there's a bar there (well, lots of them...) and a guy did an acoustic thing there every day in the afternoon... used to be in Spirit!!! Did an awesome version of Nature's Way acoustic (wonder why no one's covered that song?) That's all he does- makes a very good living doing it and so laid back down there... The bar is right next to Jimmy Buffett's studio which is right on the water, too.

Apart from the hurricane thing, Key West would probably be a great place to live...

Do you have the DVD of Hendrix and the Band of Gypsies live show?

Yeah, Spirit hasn't been covered because they are one of the most underrated bands. Led Zeppelin although did covers, when they were on their first North American tour, opening for Spirit. Also Taurus, from Spirits first album, is where Zeppelin got the idea for Stairway.

The Jimi DVD Band of Gypsys (Gypsies proper english) is amazing. Love the jam feel of the whole thing. Live Jimi at his best.

This was on my list originally, too... I love this record- but both of them. The record company really screwed up on this one- Love is Hell is overall a better (albeit darker) album than Rock and Roll although RNR was more accessible initially... now I like Love is Hell better.

If you're really into Ryna Adams, you might want to check this out- it's an ftp site where you can download quite a few live, bootleg shows of Ryan's, Jesse Malin, some Stones, etc. Pretty cool... I got the show that I went to for the fourth of July in Battery Park last year...

I used an ftp program to get in... don't knoiw about PC's but Fetch for the Mac worked great. Info:

Yeah Kassibian are a great new band i think there actually trying to start an uprising or something!!! No joke. Great band though, doing something different.

On Jetplane landing, im not mad on the new material, i dont like how Andrew uses his voice anymore and the new guitarist seems to musshy up the whole thing. Simple as this, buy Jetplane Landings debut album, Zero For Conduct, it brill. I keep meaning to start a T.Rex collection, Electric Warrior. I had a best of album somewhere but I can't find it at the moment. So Electric Warrior is a good place to start?

Yes, it's the definitive T.Rex album. Albums I wouldn't recommend for the casual listener are Zinc Alloy and the Hidden Riders of Tomorrow, Bolan's Zip Gun, Futuristic Dragon and maybe Dandy in the Underworld.
A best of Album is definitely worth getting in addition, if you're into the singles. The single material sometimes was quite different from the album stuff, since it was designed for a different market. Also many rare b-sides are worth listening.

With my Les Paul I know I'm small but I enjoy livin' anyway
