Winter NAMM 2020

Post by StratusX » Wed Dec 18, 2019 5:25 am

Yeah yeah yeah the forums dead, but there’s still new posts even as of a couple days ago, so why not keep this party going??

What’s everyone hoping to see from Orange at Winter NAMM 2020?

I like how this forum is still more active than the new unofficial Orange forum....

My dream amp....

A RV50 MKI with an extra channel in the middle, that channel being the AD30 channel 1 channel.

And the original crazy mki reverb.
If they want to go all out, they could go all mesa boogie and add 4th channel, like the Rocker 30 or OR50.

RV50 MKI Clean channel
AD30 channel 1
Rocker 30 dirty channel / OR50 channel
RV50 MKI dirty channel
RV50 MKI reverb.

All that in one amp...... 8)

Also, a single cable footswitch to switch every thing as needed.

Mr Elmsley, that's your challenge.....
Ant

Orange Gear: RV50 MKI, R30, AD15, PPC212
And.... Genz Benz Black Pearl 30
Past Orange: AD30TC Combo, TT, AD5

Guitars: Gibson Les Paul Standard Faded, Vigier Expert Retro 54, Gibson SG 70s Tribute, Aria Pro II RS X80, G&L ASAT Special Tribute

While I 100% value simplicity, I’d love to see a 3 or 4 channel Orange. Not even joking. I wasn’t a fan of the Rockerverb series initially but loved the Thunderverb, and I feel with the Rockerverb MK 3 they took all the great things about the Thunderverb and used them to make a better Rockerverb and ultimately Orange’s most versatile amp.

Imagine:
Channel 1- Rockerverb Clean
Channel 2 - AD30 Channel 1
Channel 3 - Rockerverb Dirty
Channel 4 - Dual Dark Channel B (just for the hell of it)

Attenuator, Reverb, Effects Loop, Power Level Switching. The ultimate amp!

But my AD30 is fine, too 8)

My gas is fading as I get older, but I would love to see some Orange bass combos. As Ade said in one of the new vids, our "vertebra are weaker these days", haha. Would love to see a compact version of the new neo bass cab with the LBT in it @ 4 ohms.

Unofficial Orange Forum? Do you have a link? Although I know this is closing down, I find myself surfing to it every few days as a matter of habit haha.

The sign up process is insane hahah. Please email us with a reason you would like to join?

Sheesh!

Oh yea Namm 2020, uh... I think Orange could put some love into a compact guitar cab. The PPC112 is god awful IME. It would be cool to see a compact light weight 112 perhaps with the neo creamback, perhaps ported :)

Still haven't found the perfect portable cab to pair with my TT yet.

RemainJoyful everyone!

I was working at Guitar Center when the DV Mark neodymium cabs first became a thing. They sounded great, and you could lift them above your head one handed!

Never tried the neo-creambacks, as I’ve never seen the vertical 212 in person, but the AC30 with creamback we had in stock was by far the best sounding amp we had in stock IMHO

They have the new bass amp and bass pedal so far, but they've hinted at something else new this weekend...

Looks like a Micro-Terror rehoused in a pedal. Smart!
