Orange amplification ....I would like please
A Terror / lunchbox sized single channel low gain head designed for use with pedals about 30 or 40 watts , with power scaling and tube effects loop.
The rocker 15 is close ...but just need more clean headroom!

Funny, I was just thinking about this yesterday as a possible future build.Ronnie Robinson wrote: ↑Sun Aug 18, 2019 5:36 amA Terror / lunchbox sized single channel low gain head designed for use with pedals about 30 or 40 watts , with power scaling and tube effects loop.

Doesn't the Dual Terror have an effects loop?

Re: Orange amplification ....I would like please
I'm thinking of something designed to be used with pedals with a lot less gain and a lot more headroom.

Dual Terror, Tiny Terror, & and Micro Terror do not have the FX Loop.

A Tremlord head would be nice. Even without the spring reverb it would still be a great amp. They sound really good to my ears.

The Bad Cat Unleash. I mentioned this in another thread. It's an incredible piece of kit. It acts as both an attenuator and a 're-amplifier', in that it can take your low wattage amp and crank it up to 11! If you go into an 8 ohm speaker cab, you get 100W of pristine clean power. I run mine into a cab wired at 4ohms for 160W!!! (This is a neat feature. I have the older BCU, and it has an 8ohm amp input, but you can run it out to 4, 8, or 16 ohm cabs. The new ones allow you to mismatch amps and cabs as you please within 4-16ohms).
When I did own a Tiny Terror, I ran it absolutely clean into the BCU and then used it to play on an outdoor stage to a big audience. I had headroom on tap, even though the tone sucked (sorry fellers, the TT clean is the worst clean I've heard). But the beauty is that you can take any low watt amp and turn it into a monster. I know of another guitar player on another site who uses an old Fender Champ, clean into his BCU. Fender Champ tone with 100W of clean power! I bet it sounds amazing.
The V1 models are selling used for a steal. I scored mine for CDN$225. IMO, a game-changing piece of kit.

Is this an open thread for others to chime in on?
If so, and OR50 212 combo. I love lunchbox heads but my truest of loves is for combos... I know I know, they lack flexibility and are harder on tubes and components but I’m a big fan of combos and how self contained they are.
A Dual Dark mkII would also be killer. One step further... a DD MKII combo...

Re: Orange amplification ....I would like please
My dream would still be a 3 channel Rockerverb, adding the 1st channel of the AD30tc between the clean and dirty channel.
That would make for a pretty sick amp!!!!

Re: Orange amplification ....I would like please
Hi all, new here! I’ll play!
I’d love a new flagship monster amp. Something like if the TV200 and RV3 had a baby. 200W format again but with 3 channels and variable wattage.
Ch 1 could be Natural channel from the current Rocker series
Ch 2 the Dirty channel from Rockerverb Mk3
Ch3 the old channel B of the Thunderverb but with 4 gain stages
All with somewhere between 100 and 200 watts, switchable down to lower. I do like the bass transformers and low end response of the TV, and built in Reverb from the Rockerverb Mk3.
A tall order, and a heavy one for sure. Since I’m going for broke let’s get tremolo too, and MIDI switching.
That should cover every base that you could touch. Something chimey and clean and still breakup-able, something vintage-ish and fuzzy, but still well capable of metal, and a modern toned chainsaw gain channel with a simple tone control.
Plus trem and reverb for blues and such. I’m telling you, KILLER!
Offer it in the big wattage version and a 50W and call it what the TV was supposed to be, the “Super Rockerverb” to replace the Mk3. Super because it’s got everything but the kitchen sink and can blow your house down. Give it enough bias adjustment to use big bottle KT88 all the way down to EL34.
This was fun to ponder, glad I joined
Sincerely, a happy Thunderverb owner in Texas.
