The MIC amps sound every bit as good as the MIE models. Orange makes some great sounding amps.

Absolutely. I thought the OR80 was the best sounding, then (for me) it's a toss up between the RV50 and TH30.

It's certainly not the ultimate shoot out, some of the setting are quite different in terms of gain and volume, but it's still a very good comparison. I really like that he just plays and demonstrate what the amps can do, rather than waffle on endlessly about settings, temperature/humidity and what type of coffee he had in his mug. He's just straight into the playing.

The 80 sounded good, but I kind of blocked it out due to volume and weight. :D I agree about the RV and TH30. Pretty remarkable. The Dual Terror was also surprisingly good. The consistency across the board is so nice. Just pick the features you need and go for it.

That was very cool! I had a tiny terror before and liked it but man it sounds so crunchy in this video instead of fuzzy. I really liked the tone he got out of it. The RV almost sounded worse to my ear than the others (I am obviously a huge RV fan). The AD30 had the magic for what he was playing.

My mind also had a mental block about the OR80. I just envisioned how loud and heavy it must be.

Yeap, same thing here. I play a lot at home....... and am very thankful for the excellent master volume my R30, RV50, AD15 have.

I love how that OR80 sounds, but id never be able to open it up properly. I've rarely cranked my RV50 when playing out, good thing it still sounds great at medium gig volumes!!!!
