Hi
Have been given an Orange Crush 15 (non reverb) which is dead. Opened it up and found that resistor R8 has blown to the point of being unidentifiable. Anyone got an idea on the rating and/or has a schematic?

You need to remove it and read what is printed under it. Look to the right - R10 shows what the rating is for that one so I suspect this one will say it, too.

Re: Orange Crush 15 blown resistor
Only thing I could find was another guy from 2015 looking for the value of R8, too. No idea.
Re: Orange Crush 15 blown resistor
Given absence of schems from Orange (I could find a CR15R part schem.) and the variability in the support for this end of the market, all I can suggest is flipping the board over to see where the tracks go to.
It looks like it took a significant hit, suggesting a short circuit - guessing a component down stream with significant juice through it died, so there is no guarantee that just replacing resistor will help.
Nice brain teaser though so please post pic of underside
