NGD (at some point this summer)

Post by bclaire » Tue Apr 03, 2018 7:03 pm

So, I have a new guitar coming, which is something of a surprise for me since I really don't need any new guitars. But I saw this preorder of a knockoff of the Gibson Moderne from Eastwood Guitars and it just clicked. It looks pretty cool and doesn't have that typical Eastwood headstock. So I sprung for it - supposed to ship in July I think...

Cool. was reading about the modern not to long ago. I think it was an article on Billy Gibbons who says he has one of the originals.

I recall that. Eastwood are decent guitars. A guy in Georgetown Ontario, about 30 mins from me (and actually where I got married) started the company, re-issuing the Airline and Supro guitars. They’re not made here, but I’m pretty sure they go over them quite well when they arrive. Another fellow in my region, Bob Egan from a well known Canadian band Blue Rodeo had a shop here that was setting them up and selling them.

Better for seated playing than a V, that's for sure! Very cool; look forward to hearing your impressions when you have it in hand.
