Tightening up your Orange bottom end
Hey Everyone! Just wanted to let yall know, if you have problems tightening up the bottom end of your Orange amps such as, Thunderverb, Rockerverb, Terrors etc. I have a IN-EXPENSIVE solution for you! AND IT DOES NOT DESTROY YOUR TONE AT ALL!!!
Horizon Devices Precision Drive is the best overdrive I have ever used. The reason why i bought it was because of the Attack option. It's tightens up your bottom end of your sound, without it taking any tone away at all. It will also bring in more of what the guitar actually sounds like into the mix of your orange and it keeps the character to your Orange amp tone 100%. I use it in the classic tubescreamer way, cranked the volume, dirt on as low as possible, then for me i put the attack on the 2nd clip. I use the brightness around 10-11 o clock, usually does great there, always depending where i am in the mix with my band.
TRY IT OUT FOR SURE, IT MIGHT DO YOU WONDERS, LIKE IT DID TO MY RIG <3 I was questioning on spending to $2000 to grab an ol marshall to get the attack i wanted in my mix, but this pedal just did exactly that, for the little of $300 Canadian bucks <3

Re: Tightening up your Orange bottom end
I understand he might be excited about the pedal but I have used the pedal as well and I can’t stand anything it does. It takes your nice full tone and removes almost all of the lows. When someone says “tightens” the low end, I would expect it to retain some low end, not completely remove it. Then on top of that, it adds a pinch of latency because it is processing the signal. If you can handle that, maybe you would love it. I couldn’t stand it.
The final thing that absolutely killed it for me was it severely masked the clarity of actual notes. So if you were playing a G5 and went to an A5, it was much less obvious the notes had changed so you really end up with a sound of a distorted guitar without the notes, which I guess is perfect for djent but not me.
Sorry to rain on anyones parade. I just think it is helpful to get other feedback out there as well.

I wish hahah, No, I'm heavy ass blusey evil sludgey slide guitarist, So when it comes to dialing my sound i'm a little bitch about it haha. This pedal for me was just a double wammy because it helps also with my slide playing when I do big fat nasty chords. Tightens in with clarity as well.Dexter211275 wrote: ↑Tue Mar 13, 2018 12:10 amIm gonna take a wild guess and say he's involved with the company somehow

Re: Tightening up your Orange bottom end
Hmm... slide, eh? I can see the quest for a good tone. What do you use for a slide? I've tried them all over the years, chrome, brass, glass (watched them roll off the amp and smash...), Coricidan bottle (still have it), anodized aluminum (stupid), but my favorite slide is from the bronze sleeve drawer at the local hardware store. About $6 and a good weight to it - the surface isn't perfectly smooth so it makes a sound just moving it around - I love them!Benny The Blues Man wrote: ↑Tue Mar 13, 2018 5:17 pmI wish hahah, No, I'm heavy ass blusey evil sludgey slide guitarist, So when it comes to dialing my sound i'm a little bitch about it haha. Had a conversation with George Thorogood about slides once - he cuts his own from copper pipe but they gradually collapse on him as he uses them...!
Re: Tightening up your Orange bottom end
You know what's even cheaper? Turn the main volume up and lower the gain!

Re: Tightening up your Orange bottom end
I use Heavy Dunlop Slide, great for smoothness and sustain. I tried others but I have always gone back to this one as my main. Check out this guy, his name is Ian Thornley, if you haven't heard of him. Dudes one of the best slide players in the world, yet barley anybody sadly knows him. He play's with a band called Big Wreck, highly suggest checking them out, might end up being one of your new fav bands.
Go to the 4 min mark, thats where his insane slide solo comes in.

Here is my band if you wanna hear some sloppy heavy slide playing haha. We have redone this song lately in the studio including the others we have previously released as well. since we have gotten better gear over the years now.
