I know some are disappointed that there isn't any massive release to celebrate the anniversary, but its not like its new years eve; there are still 11 more months left in the year for them to do something special. In fact I believe the shop first opened in September of 68 so maybe they are waiting until the later half of the year, who knows.
Most every company announces everything at NAMM, even if its not released till later in the year. If Orange hasn't announced anything by now, there is nothing else coming this year which really sucks but oh well. Already picked up a used 100 watt JCM a few days ago and will probably order the new DSL100 since Orange isn't interested in releasing anything more than 15 watt amps these days.

You know something we dont know?! If there is something new coming, hope its announced in the next few days before I order a new DSL. This is the time of year people usually want to start getting new gear, fresh off the NAMM releases.

They could always announce something at summer NAMM couldn’t they?

They could, but thats much smaller compared to the NAMM show that just happened. Most people hardly pay attention to summer NAMM and the companies almost always announce all their major gear at this NAMM. Summer NAMM is more about workshops and events, not new gear. The new gear that is announced at Summer NAMM is almost always pedals and guitars and not amps. Here is what was released last year...

Orange Amps was created in the Fall of 1968 so maybe Summer NAMM in Nashville will be something for technically the 50th Anniversary in the Fall of 2018 which means the holiday season is right after.

Then again they may not show it at Summer NAMM but just a big release party of some kind of thing in the Fall. I’m just guessing here lol.

Although I agree Winter NAMM is the place to show off the new year gear, they could have something to surprise us at Summer NAMM or just simply in the Fall of 2018 when the actual time of the anniversary is. Who knows.

I’m purchasing a Rockerverb MKiii here soon and wish it was released now so that I would know if to wait or not lol. But the Rockerverb is a do it all amp so I’m not worried :)

Very true. I'm looking forward to what's coming....

Right now, just trying to recover from my flight home. Landed just after midnight; the next bus to my car wasn't going to be for an hour so I paid for an $83 cab ride to the bus station; then drove home and got to bed just before 2:00 a.m. Then the alarm for school went off at 6. I might be a little tired....

You're right. Orange announced the RV MKIII on the first day of Musikmesse April 15 2015 and then showed it off there along with the Bax Bangeetar pedal. Musikmesse is April 11-14th this year which is only a little over two months away. If I wait until then and Orange releases something I like, that would work. If Orange doesn't release anything in April or its another 15 watt amp and I have to order a new DSL in April, I wont see one until summer. This sucks.

Just listened to Brian Wamplers things that suck about NAMM video. Interesting thing he mentioned at the end was he doesn’t like to release his biggest products at NAMM. Basically said he feels theres so much being released it just gets lost in the mix. Interesting perspective.

he has an interesting perspective on a lot of things if you watch his youtube channel. lots of information and he is not scared to reveal 'secrets' if you want to call them that.

Yea but he only makes pedals and most pedals are released at summer NAMM. Marshall totally stole the show with a nice upgrade to the DSL line and the new Origin line. Some people like me who have been on the fence waiting to see what Orange would do are getting nervous they aren't releasing anything more than the little 15 watt heads and looking elsewhere for a new amp right now.
