I dont hear much of a difference, gain sounds the same. Only difference I hear is the JR side sounds like a slight treble boost, its a bit brighter. As long as you like it, thats all that matters!
The gain is pretty much the same on these amps, its just a different eq voicing. Try listening at the 0:25 mark, you can hear it better while I'm playing power chords.

not sure that is a good mod.. isn't the #4 a RV pre-amp already?...
