Hi,
I was wondering if Orange is going to be coming out with an updated version of the VT1000 tube tester?
I am looking at purchasing the VT1000 but do not want to spend the money if a newer version is on it it's way.
Any info on an update or even the unit itself would be welcome!
Thanks
Mark

Is the VT1000 even popular?

A few people here have used one, but it's not a commonly discussed item. Usually with Orange, they don't let on about products in development until it's time for them to be released, usually at Namm or something.

It's not an item that's flying off the shelves. I wouldn't expect an updated version....

I just ordered a brand new one for a great price. It will work for what I need it to do.
Thanks

Didn't I give a review of mine?
The thing is great - the testing process takes a few minutes but it gives you a defined number for each tube if they pass. I had a few not pass so straight into the trash for those - the rest I labeled and put aside.
I've tested a few friends tubes for them, too, but it's definitely an investment for someone who isn't going to use it often (like me). It's very handy and cool....
