I do feel for you. What terrible bad luck. I'll take either head of your hand and eliminate your unbearable over-excitment problem away from you.
Until we solve the logistics, please, let me drool profusely all over the place.....

That's gotta sound evil
Re: Or120 1974
I'm hanging in there Les Paul lover, thanks for the concern
The cleans of the or are so intensely beautiful... really, I have honestly never heard such a captivating tone.
You know these moments when the overtones make you think that someone is singing or humming along... so outstanding with the or!
And cranked, that sweet 'buttered' amazing sound. It left me completely baffled when I first heard it. From the moment I can record the 'true' sound, I'll share it here.
The Thunderverb200 is a totally different animal of course, but it so much complements the or120; especially in the 'crunchy' area. And maybe you're not going to believe it, but the Thunderverb seems to have a little more 'thump' or how do you express something like this? I wouldn't say 'low end', 'cause the or has more than enough of that, but I think the best explanation is that the Thunderverb has more attack power.
Incomprehensible that someone can actually fall in love with just a sound hahaha

Re: Or120 1974
Cool idea. I was using a TV 50 at band practice a while ago, and it's kind of thick and mushy for my purposes as a clean amp, but it handled fuzz and distortion well. Was thinking of blending it with a Jazz Chorus for some crispness.
Then I started playing around with the OR-120 as a guitar amp, running it clean, and the way I have it set, it's as crisp as a JC. So I have to guess it would probably blend great with a Thunderverb too.
I might have to fire up the 200 and make sure, you know, that this is ok to do. Conveniently, the neighbors are gone for the week.

Re: Or120 1974
Glad you're liking it. Those mid 70's ones are cool amps. Do you have any pics of the back?
Also...it's a touchy subject, but do you know what the deal is with that Les Paul? It looks fake from that picture. Just a FYI, in case it was presented to you as real.
I miss the days when I could play through a 4x12. It's too much firepower for me now.

Re: Or120 1974
I'd have to see a clearer picture to be 100% on it, but:
-Headstock carve is off (the open book carve is too deep, the bottom is too thick, and there's not enough curve to the sides).
-Diamond inlay is too small.
-The body carve is off, particularly the horn and the part around the upper strap button, which should be coming into the neck at a straighter angle.
-The stop bar is set in too far down.
-It looks to have a metric bridge, but I can't tell in this picture, as it's not clear enough.
-It doesn't have binding nibs on the frets, yet doesn't look yellowed enough to have needed a re-fret.
I could tell for sure with a better picture. Maybe he even bought it as a fake. I didn't want to take away from the topic at hand (the awesome Orange!), but I've known people to have fake Gibsons and not be aware of it, and IMO that picture raised enough flags to mention it for sake of clarification. They're all over the place. I saw one at Guitar Center last year on the floor. They had no idea and pulled it off the floor the second I pointed it out to them. It's really a big problem, and a sad one.

Re: Or120 1974
Jep, you're totally right. It was sold to me as a modified Epiphone.
250 euro's
I was saving up money in these last few years to go for the amps.
Fingers crossed, maybe next year a new more expensive one.
But I got to tell ya, she plays really nice! She's much more worth than 250 to me. And best of all, she really stays nicely in tune. And I can go wild sometimes (Gauges are the extra heavy ones from D'addario. 0.12 - 0.60)
