Re: PHOTO: "Orangifying" my guitar to match it with my TV50r

I love the pickguard!
I could live without neon orange strings TBH. (Well I have this far and don't see that changing soon.)
Doesn't matter what colour they are though, I truly loathe curly cables!
I often wonder how many people there are out there worrying about a little 'tone suck' from pedals etc. but also using curly cables with far higher capacitance than needed, which is guaranteed to roll off the top end. Fine if you are playing a Strat into a Marshall I guess, but I'd rather use a tone control myself.
The real reason I hate them so much though is the amount of time I used to have to spend untangling one from itself. Yes my very first cable ever was curly - and as soon as I got a 'proper' cable which I could coil neatly for storage it got binned!!! )
But yeah, the general colour scheme I like fine!
Andy.

cool thanks friend! I am glad you dig the color scheme. I have curly cable studio headphones dt990pros and never had issues, but if I did I would be concerned. Ill be careful with the curly cable there, I do see potential for tangle ups in that respect. my rig is really trebly so it might be good but I did not notice anything to be honest. the cable is 20 feet yet really short so I do see tone suck potential.
its Lava Retro Coil Orange 20ft Straight/Straight Guitar Cable

Alex Auxier of Orange Amplification stated this about the new Retro-Coil cable: "Lava's Retro coil cable delivers great sound, and of course looks amazing with an Orange amp, but it offers a utilitarian advantage as well. The coiling makes for no more hassles when bundling and removes the need to worry about getting caught up in messy cords on stage. I'd recommend the Lava Retro coil before any other."
Like all the Lava Cable products, the Retro-Coil cable comes with a lifetime warranty.

I have 770Pros with a curly cable. Never found it a problem with headphones but moving about with an instrument is different. Well, I hope you have much better luck than I did.everdrone wrote:cool thanks friend! I am glad you dig the color scheme. Alex is a fan of those? Fine, whatever works for other people I'm totally good with. Personally I've never had any problems with keeping normal cables under control. One of my bandmates though - well she seems to waltz her way to the most almighty tangles. Pretty funny really, I have to unplug her every so often and de-twirl her (well her guitar lead!) so that she can start all over again. If I didn't she'd end up stuck crouched above her pedals before the night was out...

I really like 'em both; the pickguard and the curly cable. Look classy.

I dig the rig OP!
I actually picked up a few Orange cables on sale. They're pretty nice, sound great and I really needed something that wasn't black for my live rig.
Now? Haven't you guys been selling a certain line of "orange" cables??alexauxier wrote:I like Orange cables now
