Anybody interested in writing for the Orange blog?
http://orangeampsblog.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I haven't really figured out how this would work yet, but I'm considering finding a few "Orange experts" who would want to write about Orange, amp technology, tubes, and other amp-related topics. First I want to gauge the interest because a lot of people I've spoken to about this are flaky. I'm not asking for an article a week (mainly because I'm not prepared to figure out compensation for that many articles) and I'm not looking to fight someone on a deadline. If you tell me you can have the article done in 3 weeks, fine, just make sure it's done haha.
I'm thinking that we'd come to an agreement that each article is worth ______ and once you reach a certain "dollar value" you can cash it in for product.
The article ideas would be approved by me. The style would be yours to decide but you can't write like a 12 year old and if I'm correcting grammar all the time I'll have to drink more (and honestly I drink too much as it is).
Anybody?

Re: Anybody interested in writing for the Orange blog?
Are you after one single blogger, or multiple people to provide a variety of articles in an Orange named blog?
I'm sure amongst us you could find a number of people who could provide enlightening entries - but finding one person to do them all is perhaps more challenging.
Intersting project though, for sure!
Would it have to always be Orange centered?
Or can it be just about music in general, gigging, recording etc?

I know I'd be pressed to come up with an intelligent Orange based Tweet in 3 weeks time.
I'd read an Orange blog though.

Re: Anybody interested in writing for the Orange blog?
i could write an excellent piece on the joys of the tiny terror and what makes it the perfect amp for getting to know what a valve amp is all about and how it should react to picking dynamics/ the guitars volume pot changes and how to get the most out of one...
it might not be very good - but it may be slightly educational and someone, somewhere may find it useful?...
i wouldn't be willing to commit to writing several articles; but I'd be happy to start with this and see how it went?

Cool idea Alex. Are you looking to lean towards content that's centered around Oranges, or concentrate more on general knowledge or technical elements?
Do you have an idea of how long and/or in depth you'd want articles to be?

Yeap, i couldn't write a technical blog entry, but certainly a "everyday man" with an Orange entry, be it discovering the RV50, or getting everybody crazy with good tone at the local open mic...

Not only is he right proper good, but having read the Orange blog, it definitely is lacking in the Katie Perry department, something Randy would swiftly remedy with his usual good nature, clean and eloquent style.
Do pick him!!!!

Re: Anybody interested in writing for the Orange blog?
In response to some of the questions:
1) I'm not asking anyone to commit to more than one blog post. You can do as many as you want. I'm just asking that if you offer a topic to write about, and commit to it, then please deliver.
2) Articles should be at least 4 paragraphs preferably.
3) The posts DO NOT need to be Orange-centric. In fact, they're probably better off not being entirely Orange-centric. Referencing Orange, tactfully, is certainly preferred but it won't make or break my decision to publish your article.
4) Technical knowledge isn't necessary either. I'm not technically-inclined so most of the articles I've written have been higher-level viewpoints of how Orange or the music industry works in general.
Please email me at [email protected] with the subject line "blog" and I'll discuss what would work best for you. Cheers!

I should probably take this more seriously, but I don't think that it would be beneficial for the Orange brand to be directly associated with the Randy Bass brand.
