I'm selling my Rocker...
... because I have no use for it. I bought it as an easy-to-bring-live amp but since I got the CR120H+JR cab I feel that I don't really need the little beast anymore.
Will I regret selling it (it's not sold yet so still time to change my mind...)?

Re: I'm selling my Rocker...
For the sake of your signature picture, I think it's technically illegal for you to sell it.
You certainly have a lot of orange tone at your disposal, and for me, the rocker/verb style was the best "modern" voiced orange I played through. I have not tried the BIG crush head yet, but you know your gear best of all, and I'll bet it gets tough to lug those tube heads to the gigs if you've been rocking SS for awhile.
I suppose I'd be a little more concerned with your notion to downsize if I wasn't near certain I will see you on here with another Orange in the future.

If you feel that your CR120 is more usable than the R30 for small gigs, then you have your answer.
On the other hand..... Combo vs head & cab....

Re: I'm selling my Rocker...
The regrets I have about selling mine having nothing to do with tone. I regret selling when I did because almost right after the price on the spiked 20-30%

plug it in and play it for a while and then see if you still want to

Re: I'm selling my Rocker...
I'm going to say you will miss it. But, that's only because I know I would miss it. It's the only amp that has stuck with me as long as it has. It's an amp that just seems to give back everything I play into it.

I would only sell mine, if I replaced it with another one!

I agree with these guys! Don't get rid of it. unless it's to me!
I also think it's illegal to sell a tube amp for a solid state....i'm just saying

Re: I'm selling my Rocker...
Just remember the CR120 and JR cab are both current production. If you needed to get another one for whatever reason you can go to your local Orange dealer and place and order. R30, not so much. If you get rid of it now and find in a year or two that you'd really like one you may be waiting a bit for it.

Re: I'm selling my Rocker...
Thanks for all your inputs, guys! Keep in mind I already got the OR100 and 15 so it's not that I'm running out of tube amps. Furthermore I'm planning for another amp head purchase...
Nevertheless I set the price quite high and I will not give it away for free so perhaps it stays in da house...

Re: I'm selling my Rocker...
I may be biased as well considering I own both the head and combo version. I will never part with mine. They are getting harder and harder to find in mint shape.
I will never haul a head/cab to a gig ever again. It is so much more convenient to have everything in one "light-ish" package.
Perhaps throw a cover on it and hide it in the closet for 10 years. Who knows what a mint condition rocker will go for in the future.
