Ad15 Value?

Post by msmith4432 » Fri Aug 30, 2013 2:37 am

I'll get right to the point, what's a reasonable price for ad15 in pretty good shape, few little nicks in the tolex?

ultimately, it's worth what someones willing to pay for it!

are you looking to buy one? there's one on the usa ebay right now - if you've got 5 days to wait, watch that, see what it goes for to give you a rough idea? unless thats the one you're after?

i'd say it's quite desirable, especially the way trends towards low watt amps have gone. being discontinued adds to that too; they're quite hold to get hold of.

i'd guess around £400 here - thats $620.

as you guys seem to have more choice and cheaper prices, i'd be looking at around $500.

The one on eBay is the one I'm looking at, you are right I have seen them very few and far between. I would buy that one of $500 is all it goes for, we will see

Find a Tiny Terror (12") combo in similar condition and add $100 for Britishness. That's how I would value an AD15 anyways :D .

Bit late to the party... I sold mine to Irish_Admiral last year for 300GBP.

I think 400 GBP is as high as I've seen them actually sell for.

And Will, did I really call you a genius?! Lol!

I did - I managed to pick mine up for £275 outside of ebay. It has a few very small tolex nick, but from 3 ft it looks pristine.

I have been VERY lucky to get mine at the price I got it for though. In the UK, I have seen them go around £300/£350, seen a couple reach £400 & £500 respectively. From what I have seen, £350 here is a good price.
My guess would be that anything between $500/$600 would be a good deal stateside, but that's just a guess.

In any case, I love mine. Great amp. I practice with it all the time, it's easy to carry around, sounds good enough at low volume, nand great once reasonnably opened up.

Only one thing - the AD amps are quite saggy - I love it, but am happy to have my tighter RV50 too. YMMV.

i stumbled across it recently in a resurrected post - and thought... "well i am! and two other people obviously think so too!"

 Haha, I did actually it search it out this afternoon and you're right it was to do with the third hand!

Life is good. I run through a Maz Jr these days. I've actually thought about selling everything I have and just getting one good acoustic. I don't get to play a whole lot these days (busy job and family) and when I do it's nearly always the acoustic. The reason I held off is that if I sold it all I couldn't afford to replace it, and I hope that at some point in the near future, I'll make the time to start writing and recording again which is what I really love to do.

I think my electrics have been played 2-3 times this year... Actually, right now my acoustic is hardly getting the light of day either. I've not played it in the last month either. Sad times, sad times indeed...!

Hope you still like the AD15.
