OR100 vs ROCKERVERB 100

Post by Sethery » Fri Mar 15, 2013 6:26 pm

This isn't meant to be about which head is better, and for what reasons. The main reason for starting this topic is to get a better more intuitive idea as to what separates these heads in their tonalities.

If there was a way to describe the tonal differences between these amps, what would you say?? Are they really all that different in flavor?

I'm a rockerverb 50 owner for life, but have been craving a new flavor of an amp. I'm wondering if getting into the OR series and back into another orange amp is going to give me enough "difference" in tone to justify owning another expensive loud amp. I just sold an 83 jcm800 2210 that i didn't love so much, so i have some extra cash to play with.

Thoughts?
Love, Seth.

OR100 hasn't been released yet. The only thing I can think is the OR100 will be similar, different tone stack I guess and the power settings. I don't think it will be a drastic difference like the Rockerverb to the classic OR's
