Who has a gig this weekend?

Post by bclaire » Fri Dec 07, 2012 3:45 pm

I'm playing bass(!) with The RAW opening for The Pathetics at Ralph's in Worcester MA. Using my AD200B bass amo with 4X10 and 1X15 cabs....

... that I have to lug up a flight of stairs - shoot me.

The Pathetics have a great Christmas song: Mistletoe Belt Buckle.

Who else has a gig?

I do not envy having to lug that up (and then down, no less!) stairs, Billy!

My new band Night Moves is playing our first gig on Wednesday (close to the weekend, maybe?), a benefit for Children of Shambala at a UMBC.

Got a carol service gig. The Dues will be getting a runout with the AD30.

I've re-scored the carols for a full band - drums, bass, keys, two electrics - and have rescored the carols for a little choir as well. Few hundred people there, I hope...

More festive funk than carols by candlelight!

Yeah got first gig Saturday with my new project, just me and the lovely lady who used to front my last band. First outing in anger for my Faith Jupiter jumbo. Really looking forward!! We have done a couple of support slots to help some pals out and the feedback was great. The recurring theme was how just two of us sound so huge!
Amazing what you can do with one guitar, one sweet female vocal, a top quality PA, an Akai headrush and a Boss VE20 !
This will be our first two hour gig, so should be a blast!

Good luck with your bass gig Billy, and to all you other guys gigging this weekend.

We had a gig last night at a small bar in North Providence RI. It was my first gig with the new Rockerverb and PPC 412. We had a blast. My bands name is I'm No Hero.

Well, I have a Precision but don't use it very often.

I built a couple of custom basses - Fender Musicmaster bass necks and bridges on Jazzmaster guitar bodies - with one Jazz Bass bridge pickup. Short scale but sound full scale and play awesome...
