What's everyone eating for Xmas dinner?

Post by Wendigo » Sun Dec 25, 2011 5:27 pm

Roast beef (prime rib) here, with green beans, carrots, spuds, onions and homemade gravy. Griled the beef on all sides for about 1 minute after applying a fresh thyme, salt, pepper, and olive oil rub. Put in the oven fro about 1.5 hours and man, was it awesome. I bought a 1.6kg chunk so we'll have plenty of leftovers!

Merry Christmas all!

Well, I'm a vegetarian, so I had 2 Seitan steaks with potato croquettes; steamed carrots and broccoli...

Happy Xmas and enjoy!!

We went for venison this year after a family vote. I didn't cook so I didn't give a sh*t. Nice though.

i like venison, but it's a bit dear...

we had lamb, yorkshire puddings, roast parsnips, roast potatoes, sausagues in bacon(pigs in blankets), cauliflower, carrots, mashed potato and the obligatory sprouts. gravy for those who wanted it!...

didn't do all the posh stuff as usual as my dad is unfortunately in hospital this year after suffereing a mild heart attack - should be fighting fit just after the new year.

Cashew loaf with sage and onion stuffing, baked potatoes rubbed with salt, Rosemary and garlic, Chinese pear salad and a Double choc dairy free cheesecake for dessert...

I barely made it home before the food coma kicked in.
