Selling as a job lot?

Post by Mrjones2004x » Wed Nov 16, 2011 7:28 pm

Ok so eBay is rubbish at present for selling and not bad for buying.

I'm looking too sell a fair few bits so to summarise was gonna chuck it together as a package. I know final sale price would be lower but save money in fees along the way.

I'm not sure what too advertise as tho.
The package would contain

Tokai love rock MIK
Guitar stand
peavey valve king royal 8 combo
Fender gig bag.
Guitar lead
Capo
Clip on tuner
Thousands of tabs on USB stick including 20 video lessons
Few books which were freebies on guitar mags. Like cord book, scale book, riff book, guitar maintenance books too.

Would you list as a beginner package? Improvers package?
Not sure how to tittle it with so much content but want it easy searchable

Thanks.

1) I reckon you'd be better doing it separately, but say something like check out my other items in each of the listings - I think you'd get more money in total too.

2) If not, then call it something like "quality rock electric guitar and amp package" - try and avoid words like 'starter' as it sounds cheap and crap. Also consider chucking in a strap and some pics.

Good luck!

Has craigslist started to be anything over there yet? I've looked at it but don't think it's taken off like it has in the states...

Craigslist is pretty non exsitant over here. Well it was the last time I tried a year or so back.

Gumtree is pretty good tho. Also Swapz is a good site.

personally, i wouldn't sell it as a package. maybe it's just me, but i wouldn't ever really want to buy a package deal with a higher end guitar. those packages are better aimed at beginners who want everything to get started for very little money. i would sell it in one ad as two different things - put a price on the tokai and a price on the peavey. then, i would say "if you want both, price is _____, and i'll also throw in capo, tuner, etc." that way if someone just wants the amp, or just wants the guitar, you're not having to turn them down and lose out on the sale. i'm just not sure someone who's looking at spend the money on a tokai would really want a little peavey combo or tabs on a thumb drive.

Very true on the above.

Will do gumtree seperate adds for starters. See how we go from there.

Thinking a tubemeister might be mine very soon also!

Sell it separately. You're not going to save much in fees unless the total of everything goes significantly over £400. You get hit for roughly 10% up to a max of £40, or thereabouts, on auction fees.
