What tubes are you using

HI guys just wadering what tubes you guys are using with your orange thunderverb 50 amps thanks

not a thunderverb 50 but it uses pretty much the same tubes

I use 2 ruby el34's and one ruby ecc83 in the power section and 3 ruby ecc83's in the preamp section... they sound great and they are really smooth and tight...

don't believe a word this guy says. unless you really want to put ECC83s in the power section...

The PI tube is considered part of the power section so an ECC83 is fine in there.

I have a Rockerverb and use JJ and winged-C EL 34's with good results. I'm using Tung Sol 12AX7's in the preamp and PI and JAN Philips 12AT7 in the reverb and FX loop positions. I tried JJ and Mullard reissues in the preamp sections but the Tung Sols just do it for me.

you know surprisingly enough, the chinese stock orange glass that it shipped with are my second favorite behind the rubys! thats against JJ, svetlana, =C=, EHX, and new issue mullards.

Some of the latest Chinese tubes are the best quality I have seen for ages in a modern tube. Groove Tubes are selling them and rave about them too.
