Great bands you've discovered recently...
Touché Amoré (saw these guys play last Saturday, can't believe they've been around since '07 and I'd never heard of them).

Dear Landlord (to be fair, I've known about these guys for awhile, but the people who told me about them don't usually like bands that I like).

Everyone tells me they're crazy. Well crazy people aren't so f**king boring. So wake me when you're through being cool, cause I'm snoring...

Not too recently, but I'll say Ghost and Jex Thoth.
Re: Great bands you've discovered recently...
Most of the bands I like existed before 1980, so count me out.

I love Russian Circles; saw em a couple of weeks ago in Manchester with Boris and they nailed it. Boris were one of the worst things I've ever seen.drinkercope wrote:Wow brontide is pretty cool. Brontide did a tour recently where they played there whole album through. I didn't get to see them but apparently they were amazing; there's a video they recorded of them playing it through though and that's great - http://beatcast.tv/2011/05/brontide-san ... mine-film/

Saw these a couple of months ago supporting Corrosion of Conformity & was well impressed, they've been around a while but new to me, & Bill Steer on lead no less.

Pearl Jam.
They are actualy pretty good for being alternive rock. Their guitarist is very good.
I know that they are already well known, but discovering the discovered is still discovery.

I have discovered plenty of bands in the past year. None have been worth writing home about...

Hmmmm, the last band I discovered that I really liked was Green Day, apart from them I've stuck to my old and trusted favs. Call me adventurous
