This is where Nicole and I go for gelato... awesome. The way you can tell how good a gelato place is, is by looking at their banana gelato- if it's bright yellow, stay away. If it's a creamy color, it's the real deal. This place is amazing!

Re: OT: Ice Cream
I just recently discovered a new favorite. A dairy out of Southern Oregon called Umpqua makes a flavor called caramel cone which features caramel ribbons and chocolate covered waffle cone pieces swirled into vanilla ice cream. Crazy good! Personally I love ice cream. Ice cream makes you feel better. How bad can life be if you're eating ice cream?

Re: OT: Ice Cream
If you're a TN or surrounding state dweller, it is Mayfield all the way. They have really great milk and ice cream. Their flavors aren't over the top like a ben and jerry's, but the richness of the flavor, especially their vanilla is hard to match. their milk is simply the best here too. It is in the "yellow jug" so it repels sunlight and stays fresher longer, too.
I still like Breyer's....and blue bell, among others. My favorite is anything with reese's cups! but I've found for the very best reese cup flavored Icecream, I have to make it. I buy mayfield's vanilla, then I buy a reese cup candy bar, and some hershey's choc. syrup, and some peter pan peanut butter. I then use a secret ratio of mixture and conjure up my own reese cup/peanutbutter flavored ice cream. It is awesome.
it seems the key word in my post was reese or reese's.

Links to Dairy websites?!? This thread is udder madness !
I want to know why it's so hard to find straight-up peanut butter ice cream in stores (in my area at least). It should be one of the standard handful of flavors that every company makes.

Brilliant Mutombo, you must indeed have a keen intellect to mock other forum members when they try to have fun. Are you able to post anything fun, or is it always limited to only your infallible opinion and smart a$$ remarks?Ddjembe Mutombo wrote:I see what you did there...Randy Bass wrote:Links to Dairy websites?!? I love Blue Bell's homemade vanilla. Best ever in my opinion. I live in Texas so this isn't much of a surprise.
My favorite thing to do when I finish is to drink all the sugary liquid at the bottom of the bowl. Terrible manners, but definitely worth it for the taste.
