Just bought Rated R

Post by misterMagoo » Tue Apr 19, 2011 12:41 pm

QOTSA.... This CD is waaayy better than songs for the deaf IMO. I wish I would have bought this a long time ago!!! So many awesome songs. I bought it because of In The Fade, what an awesome song, and just opened the door for many more!

Great Album for sure. I started on songs for deaf, because Grohl's involvement made me aware of the band. Got R later, and it is every bit as good as songs for the deaf, if not better.

Great album. "In the Fade" got me into that album, too! That album's got a lot of my favorite QotSA tracks. I don't know if I can pick a single favorite album of theirs, but the self titled, Rated R, and Era Vulgaris are definitely the ones I listen to the most.

I like R the best too.
It's so cool. I still like songs for the deaf though.
I think you can't go wrong with any of those records.
So many huge and cool tones...

I saw them live on Halloween in Nashville TN. I believe it was 2008 or 2009. Anyway, they really sucked... Seriously, they did. I've seen a lot of great live perfromances, and this wasn't one of them. I don't know what was amiss, specifically, except, it seemed like a lot of things were off. I think the venue didn't suit their sound too well. The acoustics didn't help at all. They opened for NIN. NIN?.......well, they really kicked some arse, they sounded great.

Go figure, everyone has an off night...Except these guys...

I've seen them many, many times, and never saw them have a pile of poop ty performance, or sound bad.

Songs for the Deaf has been one of the 6 CDs stuck in my car for the last 2 or 3 months, and is really getting on my nerves. It's got some great songs on it, but I find myself skipping tracks and those freaking radio show hosts annoy the arsefargle out of me.

See I just got two itunes gift cards totalling $50 just for buying things with my credit card (that Jazzy got me a ton of Points) so now I can buy more albums. BIG UPS TO ME!!!

Any suggestions are welcome for what else to get.
