I call my epi lp studio Amy, cause she's no beauty, had lots of surgeries, and a lovely voice

Do you name your guitars?
misterMagoo wrote:Well yes or no?

Personally I do.
Yes, and no.

I did name my main bass, an all black fretless Aria. It is called 'Bess' after a horse in a book.

Apart from that for whatever reason I only ever seem to name my Fenders:
Strat = (Sister) 'Celia' (What is black and green? A seasick nun...)
Pink Precision = 'PIP' (Precision in Pink)
Deluxe Jazz Bass 24 = 'Wilma' ('Cos shes a stunner. That one is a tiny bit ironic and not based on Fred Flintstones missus at all...)
'51 RI Precision Bass = 'Butter' (As in Butterscotch Blonde.)

No logic to it really, but the rest are just 'the Gibbo, 'the Gordon Smith', 'the Marleaux', 'the Dano'... The Squier CV Tele nearly got a name, but nothing quite stuck so I guess maybe it aint a real Fender after all. :?

Interesting! Well I'm glad I'm not alone, but it looks like we are in the minority.

I named my PRS Lucky because of the circumstances that led me to owning that guitar, and the killer deal I got too.

I named my Strat Ali, because of a girl who was in my life at the time that I bought it. She came in and out of my life like a flash bomb, and has affected me ever since. That was two years ago.

But now I have a new guitar and I don't know what to name it, or even if I will...

I used to name my guitars, I named them up until my ESP Viper, which I tried to name but never could come up with anything that fit it. I forgot what I named my Mustang (which is broken), my Truckster is Ash(ley) but now I just call it the critter since it's such an ugly bitch now. I named my Orange after my Grandmother, since she bought it for me before she died.
