Another great performance from England. I'm not going to get bitter about it though, we were completely outclassed by the Germans. It's been unbelievable watching England throughout this world cup. You watch these guys playing in the Premier League and it's a totally different ball game.

Offensively we played well, especially through the end of the first half and the beginning of the second, when we had the edge on possession. It's just so disappointing that the back four couldn't sort themselves out. Every time Germany got on the break I was squirming in my seat. We might as well not have had a defense.

Poor show. We didn't deserve to qualify.

Sorry mates !

it was clearly a goal, but i dont think that would have changed the situation. the germans were way better than the three lions but to be honest, i did not expect the german team to be that successfull at the beginning of the world cup, especially after the match against Serbia.

It would have changed the result: it would have made it 4-2 germany.

Well...sure

But I am sure it did not change the game dramatically like some folks said. some said, the second goal would push the three lions and maybe they'd won the match....well...maybe...

I think it would have made a psychological change, not sure if that would translate into better performance though. They just played like crap.

Argentina... maybe we'll see Maradona run around naked in Buenos Aires after all... god help us.

Lampard's goal wouldn't have changed the fact that our defense had no idea what they were doing. Like I said before - offensively we were probably good enough to win it, but defensively it was a shambles. England have been shite all the way through this World Cup anyway.

I'll be rooting for The Netherlands now. Gotta say though, this World Cup has been pretty poor in terms of how well the top teams have performed. Definitely haven't enjoyed watching as much as in previous years. Hopefully Brazil will look a lot livelier through the finals and the Portugal Spain match should be a good one.

Anyone but the argies for me

Now that the US and England are out of it I can settle down and just enjoy how it plays out. Argentina looks good. I must confess though I'll be keeping an eye on the Netherlands as well as Germany.

I would never be foolish enough to predict the outcome of this world cup, but GERMANY IS GOING TO WIN IT! 8)

Die Englander haben nur ein taktischer Fehler gemacht: gegen Deutschland zu spielen!
