Guessing here, but probably about as much as Les Paul had to pay for his Gibsons.

Billy's mate has his own little signature guitar arrangement with Gibson...

Prefer the sunburst myself, but I'm probably just too shy... :P

John was just telling me how labor-intensive it was to make these. It's large flake sparkle which basically makes a huge mess and ruins the spray booths in the process. Shooting silver sparkle first and then colored paint over top. The Candy Apple Tangerine really looks spectacular! The pickups are a change from the usual Gibson 57 Classics and are a special set Seymour Duncan wound for John (hence the engraved neck pickup cover which doesn't appear on the Gibson pickups). They have to shoot a lot of clear over it to level out the finish and then do bindings... something Fender doesn't have to worry about on their sparkles... Came out great!

The serial numbers are up in the mid-900's so they've made quite a few JA's so far!

Cool. Now John just needs to post pics of his favorite amp and beer and he'll be in compliance with forum expectations.

Hmmm......My dad always used to say: "Never trust a man who doesn't drink beer. Unless he's drinking whiskey."

Beautiful guitars. I offered to give the orange one a good beating. So far no reply.
