The Strats are really high quality too, as is the Duo Sonic. My local store has the whole line there...I think the Tele was my favorite (mostly because the pine body is a little different and feels resonant), with the Duo Sonic following closely behind.

Played the 60s (?) Strat with Candy Apple Red Finish and Rosewood Fretboard.
Pretty decent guitar ! Change the Pickups and maybe the Pots and Switch and you have a smoking guitar for the money !

The basses in this series are also very well made as well as sound surprisingly good.

I've played the 50's strat and the 50's tele also. They are both unbelievable guitars for the money. I would buy one right now if I had the money. On the tele, all I would do is change the pickups/pots/bridge/and possibly the tuners. Other than those things they are great guitars.

I'd really like to give one a try, after hearing all the hype over the last year or so. Btw, how you been Joey? Long time no see!

I've got one. Here are the mods that I'm in the process of making, no matter how small:

- switch to dome knobs
- switch to fatter brass saddles (I haven't decided which ones yet)
- change pickguard (I went for a white one)
- switch to Fender bridge (like the one on a 52 RI, they only cost less than $20)

Hey Phil good to hear you got one. I know you were looking at selling the LTD for a while. Anyway, I'm sure the wait was worth it. Cheers
