OT: What's your favorite Telecaster overdrive?
I'll soon be getting my tele out of GC layaway and am looking for a certain kind of sound (pretty much straight SRV/Pearl Jam). I have the TS9 of course, but I just wondered if there was something else that you tele owners have that makes you absolutely love to play it.
On a side note, I like my Zendrive, but I think I'm going to tell it to get my tele quicker.
ANYWAY, WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE TELE OD?

Straight through that RV50 w/ a lil 59 in the bridge.

I figured somebody might say that exact thing haha. Think the little 59's the way to go? I thought about putting a Quarter Pound in it to keep a slight twang.blackcloud45 wrote:Straight through that RV50 w/ a lil 59 in the bridge.

I really like it on mine. It has a good crunch to it w/ out being too hot. Sounds more vintage (like Pearl Jam). Very reasonably priced too.

I think it is too dependent on the amplifier and the player to be specific, we could have the same gear and pass the guitar between us in real time and sound so different. That said the TS9 with a little treble off the guitar but plenty on the amp of choice might get you there.
Here we go; three, four...

Yeah, depends what sound i'm going for, hence i've got a few ODs on my board, as well as a clean boost.
