How much gain [does the AD30TC] have? I listen to everything from Phish-to 311- to KoRn- to Meshuggah to Eric Johnson. How would this amp work for me? Thanks for your help!

My Orange Overdrive hasn't enough Gain for Korn or Nu-Metal IMHO....but it has enough gain for almost everthing else (Metal is possible)....but it sounds much smoother than an Mesa wich will be much better for such Nu-Metal Things, try it some store is the best thing i can say.......good luck

Why is an ORANGE, orange? If it would be Green it would be an apple....

Go to www.orangeusa.com and then click on price list.

Or go to www.britgear.com

The AD-30TC is $1819 US.

Would the AD30 or AD30TC head go well with a Mesa Standard Slant 4x12? I would also be using a PRS CE-22 Gold\Maple top, with Birds [rare:)], and many other guitars. I might also use an Ibanez Ts-7 for a boost. Any ideas on how loud the 30 watt head is and also if the two channel one has a tube rectifier? Thanks!

The Mesa would sound fab! Does it have V 30's? Also yes the twin channel has a rectifier. This amp reacts great to any guitar bringing out the true of the guitar your playing. The AD30 is quite loud. As loud as you'll need for any club or bar. I'd say it's as loud as a 50 watt class a/b amp probally. Sweeter tone though. Plus it sounds good at any volume. Heres a clip from this web site. The AD30 features a smooth emission valve rectifier and full Class 'A' circuitry. This means that the amplifier runs at the same voltage regardless of what volume you use it at, so it produces a far smoother and sweeter tone.

I'm playing my ad-140tc though a mesa 2/12 recto cab( on loan till my orange 4/12 gets over here) and it sounds ok, Alot of bass. Sounds to me like you need a mesa head though.
