Talk to me about the AD30H..

Post by BrianPhase90 » Wed Apr 15, 2009 3:48 am

I just picked one up this weekend for $200. I'm pretty stoked... How do
they compare to the newer AD30HTC? (besides the obvious 2nd channel of course)

Oh... and Hai! My name is Brian. :D

It's not hot... I got it broken... Well, a tube was loose

I'm looking to retube it soon... suggestions?

I have a Rocker 30 combo as well that I love... I played the Surf Ballroom in Clear Lake Iowa (Buddy Holly anyone?) on saturday and really got to crank it... Lovely!

Good score! I got a really nice deal on my AD30R, so know how you feel.

Valves... won't go wrong with JJs or EHX. Some guys here are really recommending the Tung Sols also.

I'd probably throw it into a tech quick a quick health checkup if you're not sure it was literally just one duff valve stopping it working.

The single channels are great amps... prefer the sound of mine to any TCs i've played. Can't tell you why though.

I hate you... well, maybe not hate, but extremely jealous!

$200?! I'd love to have a proper backup amp... and for that pittance?!

Dude, that's an unreal deal!

AD30's are sweet amps, and most say that the single channel model is the best of the bunch! Congrats on a sweet deal on a sweet amp!

Thanks! I am really impressed with the tone. It has the awesome Orange sound that my rocker 30 has, but different enough that I think I'll have to keep them both!
