Seafoam Green RV50 Project Pics!
Hey guys,
Just wanted to share some pics of my newly recovered halfstack. Don't get me wrong, I love the orange tolex but I've always wanted to do this for fun and have a custom look.
It was a lot of work but I'm pretty happy with the new look. The only weird thing is i now have a green orange amp...which really sucks explaining to people who ask what kind of gear I have. haha, oh well. It's funny, I've had a couple guys try to explain to me that I have a green matamp and I'm like no dude, can I punch you in the throat now?!!
As far as the details go, I had originally planned on replacing the grill cloth with some silver fender stuff but came to find out you cant get the baffle out of the cab with out breaking the glue joints on the front or back sides, and I didn't feel like completely destroying my cab, so scratch that plan. I ended up just spray painting it instead which actually turned out pretty nice.
I also added some teal accents on the head by spraying the top and rear vents. Then I made a new teal decal for the controls on the front.
and I'm sure you're all wondering so...
All in all, I really think my tone sounds a lot warmer now overall and I'm thinking it added another gain stage as well. Haha! You didn't think I went to all this work just for looks did you?
