It's got a 3 band EQ though... that'd swing it for me over a TT if it sounds alright.

haha, I looked up the amp on the Vox site:

15 watts or 7.5 - switchable
Same exact tube configuration as well,

Awesome... could they at least have not made it in some toastery metal casing?

I kinda like the old toaster look. Beats the TT's space heater design.

Les Paul -> Electric Amp 120w MV* -> Electric 4x12 + Orange 4x12

* or a 2-ch Dual Rectifier.. depending on how I feel.

I actually like the TT look more... it's more mod 60's looking while the VOX is doing like a 50's diner thing.

I like the handle better than the TT. One thing I don't like about my 2 TT's is I can't stack them on top of each other unless I remove the handle from one of them.

i wounder how its price will compare with the TT ?

IMO the TT looks lame without an Orange head sleeve, or at-least the option for one. this thing looks ok thou.

There is a price on a UK site now - its basically the same price as a TT.

I can see a few good things about this Vox - a proper EQ for one. The handle is better too, and it comes with a speaker cable (and probably a manual, but lets not get started on that again)

Its basically a head version (minus reverb+tremolo) of an AC15 is it not? if it is, then playing it with a TT bi-amped would be absolutely awesome.

I imagine it has more headroom than a TT, but less aggressive+awesome gain. Headroom would win it for me between the 2 i think, although the TT looks way cooler.

But what will it sound like? A little vox amp like that that sounds like an AC30 or AC15 would be sweet. They'll probably be trying to make it high gain. :x
