Nice! Bit...er....strange though. Why a handwired one? There should be no tonal difference between the handwired one and the PCB version unless of course they used different components. It certainly looks nice though!

There are different components than the reissue (values)...as i understand it the reissue is pretty much identical to a TS9....the circuit ot the handwired one matches the original exactly, and therefore has better bass response and transparency than the reissue. Also I think there can be a certain degree of self capacitance in a circuitboard, but I'm not sure.
I didn't get my bassman yet but on thursday I'm gonna start the 100+ hours or so of speaker-breaking....I will riff that puppy into submission!

I just saw the picture of that TS808 HW RI. It looks amazing. I bet it sounds even better. If I only had the money...

One aparent oddity about their implementation - is the IC soldered to the board without a socket?

i just bought a ts7 - one of the ugly 'tone-lok' ones... but with custom ts808 mod

still getting to know it but i like what i know so far

Over here it's 298€, not sure what it costs in North America but it must be cheaper...

Very nice, I have the keeley modded tubescreamer and can't even imagine life without it. I imagine that yours sounds incredible. Nice purchase.
