a roadcase. I got one today and the inside of this thing smells so bad. It has like a wet wood type smell or like a really old uncleaned basement. Any ideas how i could get the smell out? I tried baking soda already...

couple drops of vanilla extract on a cloth and tossing it in there for a couple days works GREAT for dirty, musty ice chest coolers. or try throwing a couple sheets of fabric softener in there and leaving them. vanilla will probably work best if it's really bad and you don't mind the smel of vanilla.

<hr height="1" noshade id="quote"></font id="quote"></blockquote id="quote">Could be mouldy. (As you'd get if it HAD been stored in a cool damp place like a really old uncleaned basement!) If so you want to kill that fungus stone dead or it'll just start growing on whatever you put in the case too!!!

I'd be looking for my money back to be honest...

If you put coffee grinds and apple slices in a cup with the top off and leave it in there for a while it's supposed to get rid of any bad smells. I've never tried it personally, but it'd be cheap to do! Maybe through some bleach or something around in there too to try and kill any bacteria or mould.

Closed. I think the idea is that the coffe and apples soak up the smell. Good Luck!
