Bit Of Advice VOS 58 Or Custom With My RV50

Hi All,

Need a bit of advice and i know its subjective, but i'm after opions on the 2 beasts. Which is the meaterer (is that how you spell it, i was a after a good think tone, does that make sense?

the reason i ask is I just bought a standard and was really dissapointed with it, so i sent it back. A friend of mine got a 58 vos which i havent really heard properly because he keeps playing through a pod xt (yuk), but even that sounded better than my standard.
but now i have £2000 for a new guitar and wanted some idea what to look for
