I do like Teles...how did you guess???<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

We did have other guitars;

Gibson Les Pauls
Gibson SG
DeArmond Starfire
Fender Strat(egh)..etc..
but the Tele is everything I need from a guitar, I just fiddle with my pedals and amps if I need different sounds.

My boyfriend also likes Teles but he wanted something different sounding to what I was using, so the Telesonic is great for him.

And for Tele-shaped basses, check out the ASAT bass... http://www.glguitars.com/frameset.htm

I wonder if they do Telecaster drumkits... wait a minute, didn't the Teles used to be called Broadcasters? Gretsch Broadkasters!

Sold!

I'll go now...

Sure enough, it seems rather convincing that folks in this group
(Bclaire especially) have "a thing for" telly-casters!

I know I do! My "home-made guitar" (loaded with Dimarzio's) is a
Tele-type guitar. The neck is a Fender "factory-made" scalloped
fingerboard, married to a YAMAHA Tele body.

I did it that way because all of the bodies I found (at that time)
were over $200, and I was able to buy this crappy little YAMAHA
Tele routed for humbuckers for $135.

It was a no brainer.... Perhaps I was being a bit like the Admiral
then!<img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>

Cool!<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle> I'd miss the Peghead though...and I don't like playing bass...but if I did that would be the way to go.<img src=icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle>

Hmmm... Tango's pictures are making me want to go get the camera and do my Tele/Esquire section... just as a tease to begin with, here's the artroom guitar: my Mary Kaye finished Esquire with gold parts and 1965 bridge pickup.... this guitar resides in my classroom... relic'd finish by my students.
