Tips and Trick to make your Gigging life easier
Moderator: bclaire
Here's some of the things I do... of course some are obvious..
*Wedge my pick behind my pickguard on my telecaster
*Carry a self-winding power cable with 4 inputs in my cab (vox 2x12)
*Attach velcro inside my cab for my tuner pedal/overdrive
*Use a $40 luggage cart from Wal-Mart to carry my cab
*Carry around an extra t-shirt for after load-in.
*Cable ties on all guitar cables.
*Luggage tags on Guitar cases.
*Carry 6 feet of Gaffers tape wound up in a ball
What do you do?

Actually Shatner's CD Has Been was awesome!
I have everything with cable ties in my rack- all cables go in there and connect everything. 5 minutes from totally set-up to broken down and packed.
I always bring my Anvil briefcase with spare everything- tools, cordless soldering iron, fuses, multimeter, etc. Also have a pigtailed grounded plug just in case- had to use it once...

Somehow I ended up being the guy who bought the PA...so I have to bring the mains, the subs, the amps, the cables. Tonight I'm even bringing 2 guitar amps (my mate's Mesa is about ready for a dirt nap so I'm letting him play my bluesbreaker)...I'm lugging out my JCM 2003 1/2stack too. At least I let the other guys bring the monitors and lights...man, I bought a pair of B52 horn subs that weigh 165 pounds each...loading those by myself is not fun. Fortunately tonight I'm taking the JBL MPRO sub. A few years back I started weight training...I now view gigs as an athletic event. [:p] My mates are 50ish plus and I'm almost there too. Fortunately/unfortunately our bass player is 21. But sometimes he's acousted by young ladies and I can't blame him that he skips without loading at the end of the night.

<br />Those are nice, but for a different purpose. For my 4x12, I have conscripted these:
