Hello,

I'm trying to repair this amp (I've found it). There is an orange sticker on it so I think it could be one. Some pics of it are available here : http://perso.club-internet.fr/kawalex/FrameSet.htm

Thanks to send me all the remark you could have on it.

Regards/Alex.

C'est bizzarre! I don't think Orange made any amps in France, seems like maybe this is a bootleg? It looks nothing like any orange i've seen before. Does it work? it looks cool.

weird..... from the design layout, I'd have a tough time recognizing it as an Orange product. I think it just has a sticker.... Billy

Alex, have you tried the plexi palace forum, at www.plexipalace.com, someone there might help?

Well, the next step is to bring it to a reputable amp repair person. Someone you can trust or have heard good things about. In reality, if all of the components are intact, most tube amps are pretty simple and straight-forward so someone who knows what they are doing should be able to put it right.

I think you ought to send the pictures to Matamp for advice- they are at www.matamp.co.uk send them there not the US Matamp distributor at .com

They at least, could identify if it is an Orange product or they may have knowledge of the history of it.

Good luck! Billy

PS- I had a similar situation with a 1930's Dobro amp that I bought not working and had an amp tech set right.

Thanks a lot Billy, I will explore the Matamp way ! If no news, I will try to find a good tech to repair it.
