Was it from the amp chassis or backplate? (The numbers <u>are</u> usually different. )
Or might yours possibly be a '90s reissue amp? Here is how to tell...

If no luck dating it then the best plan is to try positing decent pictures of the amp here which might give us enough clues to get reasonably close datewise.
