In 1979 I bought a used MATAMP GT 100 from another guitar player, Ser. No. 257, colour orange. It is still in a quite good condition. Does anybody know when this amp was produced? What is the actual price for this amp? Best regards, Rainer. Location Frankfurt/Germany

Have you tried contacting Matamp to see if they could help you date your amp?

bassman_64_de,
I own a GT 100 #233. It looks like it is from 1972, but it is black.
Yours is either a reisue or has been re-covered in Orange, as it was manufactured after the Orange Matamp split.
Do you have any photots of it?

You can find the photos of my matamp on my homepage http://home.arcor.de/chironxy/
I think the cover is in its original state and color. The material is quite robust.
