The last two digits should be the year, so March 2010 would be correct.

I was looking on the back of my AD30 Single channel head and the serial number is , OR30H 142/300 .
Was there an original batch of 300 amps and this is number 142 ? Anything special about this amp having this serial number ?

Most likely the 142nd amp from the 3rd batch made during 2000. At one time it was speculated that this serial number format meant it was made in March of 2000 but there have been cases where the build date inside the amp didn't fit. This format appears to have been used when the amps were mad at the Trace Elliot factory.
