Bought this 70s 412 used not too long ago. Doesn't have original speakers, so I can't use the date codes, but it seems to be early 70s post matamp era. Maybe 71 or 72? It weighs a ton and sounds great with the eminence speakers I put in. Came with 1984 g12t75 15ohm vented magnet speakers in it when purchased. Wondering if you guys have any info on it. Thanks a ton!

Very cool. Definitely early 70's I would say judging by "Voice of the World" on the logo. That was short-lived...

Thanks! Yeah, I've only seen one other with that logo and it was here on the forum. Was just curious if there was a more specific timeline when that logo was used. Definitely a keeper though. Makes my 73 OR80 sound fantastic. Would it have had g12h or the square magnet eminence?

Are you US or UK?
Eminence was a US thing - they sent over unloaded cabs and then loaded them here with Eminences...
The Orange/Matamp cabs had a small rectangular hole in the sides near the top - boxed off inside with wood. Then came these with the more modern handles; then the cabs with just Orange on the bottom logo. Now today, there's the all black handles...
I'm trying to remember if there was something else about the logos with Voice of the World on them....

In the US. I picked it up in southern California. Thanks for all the great info!! If you do remember anything else, please do share.

Your cab dates to 1971.
Orange serial numbers for the cabinets are easy to decipher.. the first number is the year. The voice of the world badge would be correct for that year.
I've been collecting and buying and selling vintage orange gear for about 8 years now and I find that that is the best way to figure out a cabs age. I've had over 10 vintage orange cabs over the years and it always worked that way.
They only used that badge during the transition from using the Orange/Matamp badge.
Very nice find!
