That sounds like a 2003 model to me (03).

Thank you. I bought it used from eBay just for 1290 USD, but I have been told that it is much more expensive special edition. It sounds conspicuous to me. May I ask you for helping me with verification? Head looks like new one :roll:

I have not heard of a special edition RV50 other than the ones with white tolex from 2009, which say "Limited Edition 2009" on them. I think that 2003 was the first year of production though. It should have four 6V6 power valves in it (the new Mark II RV50s have two EL34s instead).

Hi TheNorman. Welcome!

Actually that doesn't sound like a dated serial number at all. Normally (since ? 2003 or so) the last four digits have given the month and year.
viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1266&p=6625&hilit=s ... bers#p6625" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

But that doesn't seem to fit yours. Neither does the fact that if you do a search back on the forum the Rockerverbs were only first being mentioned around Feb / March / April 2004...

I don't know of any other special edition Rockerverbs either. Photos might help us...

March 2009 then...

a. Enjoy the new amp! :D

(Or b. Send it back due to seller giving a BS description - no special editions known by this forumite anyway. Probably not worth the hassle, though up to you.) :?

No, it's orange tolex. I have rockerverb 50 (older production), no MARK II. I don't understand it.

Well they were still making the Mk. 1 RV (4 x 6V6 output valve version) in 2009. Which appears to be what you have. The Mk.2 EL34 version is pretty recent.

Did you mean suspicious? Yes I can verify that that description of being a 'much more expensive special edition' was suspicious. And conspicuous BS for that matter. But the amp itself is hopefully the real deal. (Again, photos would help!)

Is it working okay?
