OMEC 1975 | Catalog and schematics

Post by bclaire » Tue Oct 19, 2010 7:49 pm

OMEC Digital Programmable Amp, the first ever of its kind!

EDITED: Just uploaded the scans of the actual catalog I bought for the OMEC from ebay - much clearer than the ones I had before...

Well... I saw those back then and contacted the seller. Apparently they were bought when Orange liquidated a bunch of things in the late 70's when they shut down. They weren't complete amps- one might have worked but the other not. They were "unsold" because Orange UK bought them! Orange still has mine...

... and Orange still has it. I'm trading it to them for their collection as they don't have one. Just sent Cliff my catalog as well...

There's a couple of clips on Orange's Instagram stories (24 hours) that show the OMEC being turned on (pop!) and someone playing through it!
