A very rare find

Post by forevermemorable » Thu Mar 18, 2010 1:06 am

Okay...I have an amp from a friend of mine, who wants to sell it on ebay. The only thing is, I cannot find an exact picture of it (many come close, but not to the exact one I have).

Please see 3 pictures attached to this thread. I am thinking that this is an early 1970's model.

Model #: 80
Serial #: 80311

These links will allow you to narrow down the model:

http://www.soulbuzz.de/orange/frame2.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

http://orangeampguide.atspace.com/index.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

http://users.telenet.be/orangefg/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

It looks like an early 1970's Graphic / Pics Only head with a Plexi panel.

I checked out those links and found a lot of good stuff, but I still cannot find the exact model that I have here. The closest I can find is a GRO50 (before 1973 model), but there are still differences inside and outside of this particular model.

Still looking.

Looks just like this OR80 combo only in a head version:

Thanks for that link and I totally agree with you that the picture more looks like the one I have, but the AMP that I have is not a combo.

Right, but they just put the head into a combo sleeve. Same amp.
