90's RI OR80 Ser.# 895

Maybe someone can help you date your Orange Amplifier?

Not from a serial number.

Read the sticky at the top of the forum about reading before posting.

What you need to do is pull the chassis from the head sleeve and look for a date tag. Serial numbers mean nothing on older amps.

Not all amps have them. My 90's reissue doesn't either... you will probably just have to accept that it was made in the early 90's since there is no list or anything that tracks serial numbers as far as we know...

My OR-80 is #808, FWIW. And no, I don't know when it was made. No date tag in that one either. I never looked for date codes on the pots or caps though. Next time I have it open, i'll check.
