You didn't say how your Drive control works?
There are two different functions for this control, and as yours aren't labeled "Studio" and "Stage" I'm thinking if the Drive control is a mid-setting for the boost knob??

My favourite settings are Depth on second position and Drive on first position, this makes the fattest tone.
Boost on full and volume set at the amount gain I want for the occation.

I usually leave both Bass and Treble at noon.

I really cannot answer it like a professional, but i agree, it seems it is incluencing the mid settings. Playing on a marshall 4x12 Mod. 8412 i have to take less depth and drive. With the 4x12 Mod. 425 i use almost your settings.
