There is a serial no. LS=7010 (I think)... and they are 15 ohm? with the London New Compton Street address?
the cones in the back have the number(s) T1217 (FK1/FK3/FK30) if that helps?

We can't discuss pricing on the forum per se... mostly in regards to buying or selling, but value depends on a number of factors.

For example, whether you're in the US, UK, or other parts of the world will affect value. There were definitely more Oranges in the UK than anywhere else. Very limited distribution in the states in the 70's... then there's the style of cab. It's my opinion that anything other than a 4X12 is going to have limited interest and appeal. People want 4X12's... the other cabs are interesting but usually appeal to collectors or Orange afficiandos- unless they're a bargain and then people will consider anything.

I suspect that the cabs you're referring to might be found here in this 1973 catalog scan I made:

or here:

Value? Keep a close eye on ebay... and hope that one pops up. Can you ID the cab from these scans?

Billy

Hi Ritchie.

Your taxi problem can't have been with the speakers themselves. Pickups, cabling, amp, all possible, but the cabs themselves unlikely - unless the connecting cables inside are long enough to be coiled up in there!
Do taxis still use 'microwave' transmitters? They were always a problem, as I well remember from my school physics class.

Didn't know those cabs at all, but you seem to have found them with Billy. The speakers sound like early Celestion G12Hs, very nice 30 watt guitar speakers, especially if they haven't been reconed.

Only dimly aware of existence, a dimly existing awareness...

You get a wonderful view from the point of no return.

Other than the fact that they're in the 1973 catalog and no one's ever seen one...

They must have made some... I have seen some wacky other stuff pop up on ebay over the years like the mixers, but never the turntables...

I'd love to see some Orange monitors! I'd be all over those like ugly on an ape...

Cool cabinets! From the speaker codes you suplied the speakers date to June 1977. So the cabs were made in 1977. I've never seen any of these cabs up for sale in the last 3 years, Which is about how long I've been watching and looking for Orange gear. Unfortunatly the market is weird with old orange cabs. Sometimes they sell well and other times they dont. If your cabs were in the USA they would sell in a flash for big money, but in the UK they dont seem to go for as much. The speakers alone in each cab would be worth $500 USD (asuming there are 4 celestion g12m-30 speakers in each cab). I think a fair price would be $1000 USD each maybe more depending on many things like if you are willing to ship them or if you got a bidding war on ebay. Put them on ebay with no reserve and take the time to pack them and say you will ship anywhere. That way you will get the best price for your cabs. Also sell them seperatly, it might help get more money.
